Someone recently guessed me to be 10 years younger than my age. So that made my day😊 You see, I still feel like I am ten years younger most days. Other days not so much. Some days motherhood feels like a really big struggle. An uphill climb with no footholds. Where my needs are not met, and I feel like all I do is give. But if I can put it all in perspective, I would tell you that motherhood has also brought me the greatest JOY!! It Is by God's grace that we can do anything! And today, I am telling all my fellow moms that you are doing just fine!! This is me.. I took this a few weeks ago, and I don't know why. My kiddos have this broken mirror in the calf feed room, and something about the rain on the window made me pull out my phone. And you know me. I always have to take photos😄 Some of you may even be rolling your eyes reading this, because you know me well👀😉 So despite that dirty window, I took a photo. I looked at it, and I immediately saw something. And almost deleted it..but decided this is me. In all my dirty barn clothes glory😷😄 Most of you won't think about what I see. A swollen area on my neck. I had been diagnosed with a thyroid goiter years ago. Biopsied, bloodwork, and ultrasounds every year to check it. Results came back, noncancerous. In 2015, it was bothering me again, so I went to an ENT, who went down through my nose to view it. The size of it was cause for a CAT scan, but alas, I got pregnant with baby #5. No CAT scan for me😊 And in pregnancy, and nursing, it didn't bother me much. But for the past while (ok it's been pretty long), I have found myself feeling choked, things catching in my throat, etc. And one day I had enough and phoned the ear, nose, and throat dr. They are scheduled out till the end of August, so I shall power through till then. But hoping for some answers, and trying not to worry too much. Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7
